Our Story
Where this came from.
Perry Controls started from a frustration. After 12 years in building automation, operating buildings, engineering controls, commissioning systems across DFW, the same thing kept showing up: buildings with expensive automation that wasn't actually automating anything. Controllers online. Sequences at default. Owners paying utility bills that should have been a fraction of what they were.
The problem wasn't the equipment. It was how the work got done. A project gets commissioned when someone signs off, not when it performs. Documentation gets filed, not handed to anyone who uses it. The building operator learns the system from the guy who's leaving the job.
We built Perry Controls to be the firm that does it differently. Every project starts with a documented performance target. Every installation ends with a system that hits it. Every client gets documentation that lets them understand what they paid for.
We're based in Dallas–Fort Worth. We work on commercial, multifamily, and light industrial buildings. We're not trying to be the biggest controls firm in Texas. We're trying to be the one people call back.
Mission
To install and commission building automation systems that perform to spec, and to give every client the documentation and training to own their system without depending on us for basic operation.
Vision
A commercial real estate market where buildings run at the efficiency they were designed for, because controls got the same attention as structural and mechanical systems during construction and commissioning.

We've run buildings.
We know what a building operator deals with at 2am. Every system we design is built for the people who actually use it, not just for the commissioning report. Every decision we make considers who has to live with it after we leave.
One team, start to finish.
Design, installation, programming, and commissioning handled by the same team. No handoff gaps between the installer and the programmer. One number to call when something isn't right.
We stay until the numbers are right.
If the performance targets we set at project kickoff aren't met at commissioning, we keep working until they are. Our business depends on your results, not on a signed completion form.
You own it when we leave.
Every project delivered with as-built drawings, sequence documentation, and operator training materials. You own the system completely. You should be able to understand it without calling us first.

Jordan Perry
Founder
12 years in building automation across commercial, multifamily, and industrial facilities. Started as an operator, moved into controls engineering, and built Perry Controls to be the firm he wished existed when he was managing buildings. Licensed in TX. Focused on sequences that actually work.
